The Top 1000 Channels on YouTube

The Top 1000 channels have increased their average monthly views by 15% and average subscriber count by 18% in the past six months. Channels in the Top 1000 published an average of 38 videos in November.

From October to November 2015, average monthly views stayed steady at 27MM and average subscribers are up 4% to 2.5MM. Of the Top 1000 channels, the Top 100 account for 26% of subscribers, 30% of monthly views and 14.4% of the videos published.

The Top 100 Unboxing Channels on YouTube

The Top 100 unboxing-focused channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A 63% concentration in the 18-34 age group.
  • A demographic split of 77.8% male / 22.2% female viewership.
  • An average subscriber count of 440K. The Top 10 unboxing-focused channels have an average subscriber count of 1.5MM.
  • An average of 13.2.2MM monthly views. The Top 10 unboxing-focused channels have an average of 29.2MM monthly views.

Brand Spotlight: Alcohol

The Top 100 Alcohol brands on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A total of 44MM monthly views and 967K total subscribers.
  • An average of 10K subscribers per channel. The Top 10 Alcohol brands (listed below) have an average of 62K subscribers.
  • Over 460K average monthly views compared to the Top 10 Alcohol brands with over 2.6MM average monthly views.
