The Top 1000 Channels on YouTube

The Top 1000 channels have increased their average monthly views by 11.7% and increased their average subscriber count by 16.5% in the past six months. Since May 2015, the Top 1000 channels have grown their average monthly views 23.2% and average subscribers 38.5%.

Channels in the Top 1000 published an average of 39 videos in May.

From April to May 2016, average monthly views have increased by 7.2% to 30MM with average subscribers up 3.2% to 2.9MM. Of the Top 1000 channels, the Top 100 account for 26.2% of subscribers, 27.7% of monthly views and 14.6% of the videos published.

The Top 100 Combat Sports Channels on YouTube

The Top 100 combat sports-focused channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A 60% concentration in the 18-34 age group.
  • A demographic split of 88% male / 12% female viewership.
  • An average subscriber count of over 112K. The Top 10 combat sports-focused channels have an average subscriber count of 296K.
  • An average of 1.6MM monthly views. The Top 10 combat sports-focused channels have an average of 4.5MM monthly views.

Brand Spotlight: Top Subscriber Growth in the TV Show Industry

The Top 100 TV Show brands on YouTube according to subscriber growth have:

  • An average subscriber growth of 4%. The Top 10 TV Show brands had a subscriber growth of 16.3% on average in May.
  • A total of 2B monthly views and 93MM total subscribers.
  • An average of 931K subscribers per channel. The Top 10 TV Show brands (listed below) have an average of 700K subscribers.
  • Over 20.2MM average monthly views compared to the Top 10 TV Show brands with over 23.3MM average monthly views.
