The Top 1000 Channels on YouTube

The Top 1000 channels have increased their average monthly views by 26.6% and average subscriber count by 12% in the past six months. Channels in the Top 1000 published an average of 54 videos in May.

From April to May 2015, average monthly views increased nearly 14% to 24.5MM and average subscribers up 2.7% to 2.1MM. Of the Top 1000 channels, the Top 100 account for 26.3% of subscribers, 27.9% of monthly views and 16.4% of the videos published.

The Top 100 Pets & Animals Channels on YouTube

The Top 100 pets and animals-focused channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate’s SlateScore have:

  • A 56% concentration in the 18-34 age group.
  • A demographic split of 60% male / 40% female viewership.
  • An average of 3.6MM monthly views. The Top 10 pets and animals-focused channels have an average of 11.4MM monthly views.


Brand Spotlight: TV Shows

The Top 100 TV Show Brands on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A total of 1.5B monthly views and 67MM total subscribers.
  • An average of 673K subscribers per channel. The Top 10 TV Show Brands (listed below) have an average of over 3.9MM subscribers.
  • Over 15MM average monthly views compared to the Top 10 TV Show Brands with over 72MM average monthly views.
