The Top 1000 Channels on YouTube

The Top 1000 channels have decreased in average monthly views by 2% but increased their average subscriber count by 13% in the past six months. Since March 2015, the Top 1000 channels have grown their average monthly views 21% and average subscribers 34.2%.

Channels in the Top 1000 published an average of 39 videos in March.

From February to March 2016, average monthly views have decreased by 7.7% to 26.5MM with average subscribers up 2.6% to 2.7MM. Of the Top 1000 channels, the Top 100 account for 25.8% of subscribers, 27.3% of monthly views and 15% of the videos published.

The Top 100 Comics & Animation Channels on YouTube

The Top 100 comics & animation-focused channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A 66.7% concentration in the 18-34 age group.
  • A demographic split of 75% male / 25% female viewership.
  • An average subscriber count of over 696K. The Top 10 comics & animation-focused channels have an average subscriber count of 1.9MM.
  • An average of 21.8K monthly views. The Top 10 comics & animation-focused channels have an average of 14.5MM monthly views.

Brand Spotlight: Top Subscriber Growth in Technology Industry

The Top 100 Technology brands on YouTube according to subscriber growth have:

  • An average subscriber growth of 6.5%. The Top 10 Technology brands had a subscriber growth of 24.5% on average in March.
  • A total of 286MM monthly views and 14MM total subscribers.
  • An average of 140K subscribers per channel. The Top 10 Technology brands (listed below) have an average of 75.4K subscribers.
  • Over 2.8M average monthly views compared to the Top 10 Technology brands with over 4.4MM average monthly views.
