The Top 1000 Channels on YouTube

The Top 1000 channels have increased their average views by 36.5% and average subscriber count by 14% in the past six months. Channels in the Top 1000 published an average of 54 videos in March.

From February to March 2015, average monthly views rose 2% to 21.9MM and average subscribers are up 3% to 2MM. Of the Top 1000 channels, the Top 100 account for 26.6% of subscribers, 33.3% of views and 35.8% of comments.

The Top 100 Food & Cooking Channels on YouTube

The Top 100 food and cooking-focused channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate’s SlateScore have:

  • A 57.4% concentration in the 18-34 age group.
  • A demographic split of 58.4% female / 41.6% male viewership.
  • An average of 2.8MM monthly views. The Top 10 food-focused channels have an average of 5.9MM monthly views.


Brand Spotlight: Technology

The Top 100 Technology brands on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A total of 342MM monthly views and 45.84MM total subscribers.
  • An average of 454K subscribers per channel. The Top 10 Technology brands (listed below) have an average of almost 3.3MM subscribers.
  • Over 3.4MM average monthly views compared to the Top 10 Technology brands with over 13MM average monthly views.
