The Top 1000 Channels on YouTube

The Top 1000 channels have increased their average monthly views by 6.2% and increased their average subscriber count by 16.7% in the past six months. Since June 2015, the Top 1000 channels have grown their average monthly views 33% and average subscribers 43.5%.

Channels in the Top 1000 published an average of 37 videos in June.

From May to June 2016, average monthly views have increased by 2.6% to 31MM with average subscribers up 4.2% to 3MM. Of the Top 1000 channels, the Top 100 account for 25.7% of subscribers, 26.9% of monthly views and 15.5% of the videos published.

The Top 100 Hobbies & Leisure Channels on YouTube

The Top 100 hobbies & leisure-focused channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A 53% concentration in the 18-34 age group.
  • A demographic split of 58% male / 42% female viewership.
  • An average subscriber count of over 469K. The Top 10 hobbies & leisure-focused channels have an average subscriber count of 1.7MM.
  • An average of 3.1MM monthly views. The Top 10 hobbies & leisure-focused channels have an average of 13.5MM monthly views.
  • The top hobbies & leisure-focused channel according to SlateScore is ThreadBanger.

The Top 100 Food & Drink brands on YouTube according to subscriber growth have:

  • An average subscriber growth of 5.44%. The Top 10 Food & Drink brands had a subscriber growth of 25% on average in June.
  • A total of 190MM monthly views and 27MM total subscribers.
  • An average of 104K subscribers per channel. The Top 10 Food & Drink brands (listed below) have an average of 5K subscribers.
