The Top 1000 Channels on YouTube

The Top 1000 channels have grown their average monthly views by 25.2% over the last six months, while average subscribers have grown 11.5%. Channels in the Top 1000 published an average of 48 videos in January.

Between December 2014 and January 2015, average monthly views to the Top 1000 Channels grew by 7.2% to 20MM, while average subscribers were up 2.1% to 1.9MM. In January, the Top 100 channels accounted for 26% of subscribers, 16% of videos, 34% of views and 34% of comments.

The Top 100 Fitness Channels on YouTube

The Top 100 fitness-focused channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A 64% concentration in the 18-34 age group.
  • A demographic split of 69.3% male / 30.7% female viewership, but the top channel, Blogilates, has an audience that is 91.9% female.
  • An average subscriber count of almost 450K. The Top 10 fitness-focused channels have an average subscriber count of 1.2MM.
  • An average of 2.5MM monthly views. The Top 10 fitness-focused channels have an average of 5.6MM monthly views.


Brand Spotlight: Automotive

The Top 100 Automotive brands on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A total of 132.6MM monthly views and 5.2MM subscribers.
  • An average of 52K subscribers. The Top 10 Automotive brand channels have an average of 208K subscribers.
  • An average of 1.3MM monthly views. The top three channels have an average of 2MM monthly views.
