The Top 1000 Channels on YouTube

The Top 1000 channels have increased their average views by 37% and average subscriber count by 15% in the past six months. Channels in the Top 1000 published an average of 54 videos in February.

From January to February 2015, average monthly views rose 3% to 21.5MM and subscribers are up 2% to 1.9MM. Of the Top 1000 channels, the Top 100 account for 26.8% of subscribers, 33.8% of views and 35.9% of comments.

The Top 100 Beauty & Style Channels on YouTube

The Top 100 beauty and style-focused channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate’s SlateScore have:

  • A 66.8% concentration in the 18-34 age group.
  • A demographic split of 84.9% female / 15.1% male viewership.
  • An average of 5.8MM monthly views. The Top 10 beauty-focused channels have an average of 17.6MM monthly views.

The Top 100 Consumer Goods brands on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A total of 211MM monthly views and 7.4MM total subscribers.
  • An average of 75K subscribers per channel. The Top 10 Consumer Goods brands (below) have an average of almost 492K subscribers.
  • Over 2.1MM average monthly views compared to the Top 10 Consumer Goods brands with over 12.3MM average monthly views.
