The Top 1000 Channels on YouTube

The Top 1000 channels have increased their average monthly views by 1% and average subscriber count by 11% in the past six months. Channels in the Top 1000 published an average of 39 videos in December.

From November to December 2015, average monthly views stayed steady at 27MM and average subscribers are up 2% to 2.6MM. Of the Top 1000 channels, the Top 100 account for 26.1% of subscribers, 29% of monthly views and 14.1% of the videos published.

The Top 100 Shopping Channels on YouTube

The Top 100 shopping-focused channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A 61.4% concentration in the 18-34 age group.
  • A demographic split of 56.5% male / 43.5% female viewership.
  • An average subscriber count of almost 20K. The Top 10 shopping-focused channels have an average subscriber count of 75K.
  • An average of 193K monthly views. The Top 10 shopping-focused channels have an average of 858K monthly views.

Brand Spotlight: Top Performers Across All Industries

The Top 100 Brand channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A total of 4B monthly views and 234MM total subscribers.
  • An average of 2.3M subscribers per channel. The Top 10 Brand channels (listed below) have an average of 5.8MM subscribers.
  • Over 40M average monthly views compared to the Top 10 Brand channels with over 127MM average monthly views.
