The Top 1000 Channels on YouTube

The Top 1000 channels have increased their average monthly views by 3.6% but increased their average subscriber count by 17.8% in the past six months. Since April 2015, the Top 1000 channels have grown their average monthly views 30% and average subscribers 37.7%.

Channels in the Top 1000 published an average of 38 videos in April.

From March to April 2016, average monthly views have increased by 5.4% to 28MM with average subscribers up 4% to 2.8MM. Of the Top 1000 channels, the Top 100 account for 26.1% of subscribers, 28.3% of monthly views and 15% of the videos published.

The Top 100 Home & Garden Channels on YouTube

The Top 100 home & garden-focused channels on YouTube according to OpenSlate's SlateScore have:

  • A 27.2% concentration in the 18-34 age group.
  • A demographic split of 71.6% male / 28.4% female viewership.
  • An average subscriber count of over 161K. The Top 10 home & garden-focused channels have an average subscriber count of 468K.
  • An average of 1.2MM monthly views. The Top 10 home & garden-focused channels have an average of 5MM monthly views.

Brand Spotlight: Top Subscriber Growth in the Sports Teams & Organizations Industry

The Top 100 Sports Teams & Organizations brands on YouTube according to subscriber growth have:

  • An average subscriber growth of 3%. The Top 10 Sports Teams & Organizations brands had a subscriber growth of 7% on average in April.
  • A total of 813MM monthly views and 34MM total subscribers.
  • An average of 344K subscribers per channel. The Top 10 Sports Teams & Organizations brands (listed below) have an average of 66.5K subscribers.
  • Over 8.1M average monthly views compared to the Top 10 Sports Teams & Organizations brands with over 1MM average monthly views.
